Contractor and supplier documents, collected before the first payment

HelloFriday asks new contractors and suppliers for registration, insurance, bank details and a signed agreement. It checks each file, files it and chases what is missing, so you know what is outstanding before the first payment.

How contractor and supplier onboarding runs

It starts when a contractor or supplier is added and ends when they are ready for the first payment.

  1. 1

    Contractor is added

Adding them starts the request. Friday sends one email with one link.

  2. 2

    Documents arrive

Friday checks each file against its item and flags anything expired, unsigned or unreadable. For insurance it reads the type of cover and the expiry date.

  3. 3

    Gaps are chased

Friday follows up on what is missing, on the schedule you set, and stops once the list is complete.

  4. 4

    Ready to pay

With the file complete, the first payment can go ahead. Every request and file is logged on the record.

Questions about contractor and supplier documents

Which documents can I ask suppliers for?

Any you list. The table above is a typical starting point, and you can change it for each type of supplier.

What if an insurance certificate has expired?

Friday flags the expiry date and asks for a current certificate. The item stays open until one arrives.

Can I approve requests before they are sent?

Yes. At the Assisted level Friday drafts the request and you approve it before it goes out.

Does the supplier need an account?

No. They use one link, from a phone or a computer.
