New client onboarding documents, collected and checked
When a client signs, HelloFriday asks for the documents your firm needs to open the job, checks each file and files it on the client record. Missing items are chased until the list is complete.

How new client onboarding runs
It starts when a client signs and ends when the job opens.
- 1
Client signs
The signed engagement starts the request. Friday builds the checklist for that client and sends one email with one link.
- 2
Documents arrive
Friday checks each file against its item and flags anything expired, unsigned or unreadable.
- 3
Gaps are chased
Friday follows up on what is missing, on the schedule you set, and stops once the list is complete.
- 4
The job opens
With the file complete, the job can open. The whole exchange is logged on the client record.
Questions about new client onboarding documents
Which documents can I ask new clients for?
Any you list. The table above is a typical starting point, and you can change it for each type of client.
What happens if a client sends the wrong file?
Friday flags it with the reason and asks for a replacement. The item stays open until a good file arrives.
Can I approve the request before it goes out?
Yes. At the Assisted level Friday drafts the request and you approve it before it is sent.
Does the client need an account?
No. They use one link, from a phone or a computer.
